Matariki
During Matariki, we celebrate the Maori New Year. This is a time to come together and remember loved ones, share food, tell stories, sing and play music. Each year at Minimee, we celebrate with a spectacular Matariki evening where the whole Minimee Whanau comes together.
Parent Evenings
At Minimee we love to celebrate our amazing Whanau. Throughout the year we have special celebrations for Mothers and Fathers days while also putting on networking nights for the Whanau and Kaiako to spend some social time together.
Fundraisers
At Minimee we love to give back to our local community. We often have awesome fundraising events to help out where we can.
Class Trips
Both the Nikau and Koru rooms like to go on fun trips out of the centre. These might be a walk down to the local park, or a trip all the way out to butterfly creek. These trips are such an awesome learning opportunity for the tamariki, and it's fun to get the whanau involved too.
Nikau Nights
The Nikau room likes to have some fun! We often put on special nights for the Tamariki to enjoy. Movie Nights, Glow Parties, Pizza nights and even sleepovers are some of the amazing opportunities the Nikau kids are given.
Cultural Events
Minimee is lucky to be enriched with so many beautiful cultures. To be culturally responsive we like to celebrate cultures from all over the world.
Fathers Day
Every Father's Day we love coming together to celebrate our Minimee fathers. Fathers are our rock, our heroes. We like to take this time to give thanks to all the joy and assurance they give and show appreciation for all the hard work they put in. Last year we held a BBQ where our fathers could join us for some yummy food, drinks, and mingling.
Mothers Day
The role of a mother is one of the most wonderful roles a person can take on in life. Mothers bring so much joy and love to our families and lives. To celebrate our mothers we invite all of our mothers from Minimee to join us in a night of pampering, good food, and bubbles around Mother's Day. This evening is a great chance for mothers to relax and mingle with other mums from Minimee.
Christmas Parties
Christmas is a great time to come together and be thankful. At Minimee we love to celebrate with a spectacular Christmas party for the whole minimee community. Each year we plan it slightly differently, so you can always expect something.
